Leadership Development

Leadership Development Programs

Great Leadership is No Accident®. It is achieved by design, not by default. It is possible for any individual, team or organization. No endeavor succeeds without great leaders. Dick is an expert at working with individuals, teams and organizations to build on their strengths and articulate and achieve their aspirations. The focus of his leadership development programs is always measuring and maximizing return on investment of time and money.

Leadership Assessments for Individuals

Leadership Assessments identify individual leadership style, preferences and strengths. They serve as the starting points for executive coaching engagements or management succession frameworks. After conducting an assessment, Dick compiles his insight and analysis into a written report and reviews it with the client. This written report serves as a critical building block in the articulation of a management succession or leadership development plan.

Leadership Development Programs for Teams and Organizations

Dick’s leadership development programs start with the business imperatives of the team or organization. They focus on building on strengths and identifying and supplying what is missing so that the business achieves its objectives with maximum velocity. The intent is always to build a powerful future of success, happiness and gratitude.

Dick Massimilian Operates on Five Guiding Principles:

  1. Clear Line of Sight to Business Results
It should always be clear how what is discussed and developed is linked to the goals of the individual, team, business unit and organization.
  2. Look Holistically
Truly effective teams and organizations are those in which corporate, team and individual purposes are aligned.
  3. Soft Stuff Is the Hard Stuff
Book smart is not the same as people smart. Self-awareness and emotional intelligence – at every level of leadership (individual, team and organization) – are invariably the key to success.
  4. The Internal & External, While Distinct, Are Connected and Reflect Each Other
Physical and mental states are congruent. Success requires understanding and strengthening both the internal and external – for individuals, teams and organizations – simultaneously.
  5. Leverage Strengths
There is far more to be gained by building on inherent strengths than by addressing shortcomings. Dick starts with strengths.
